There is Power in Continuously Showing Up

There is power in consistency. There is power in repetition. There is power in continuing to show up no matter what. Showing up has multiple connotations, definitions, and perspectives. For the sake of this post, showing up is when you continuously put forth effort toward seeing a breakthrough in a belief, a deep-seated dream, your purpose/calling(s), being a greater you, and any great feats you want to conquer. We each have a pain and frustration threshold that can tempt us to give up when we reach it. Nevertheless, even a small seed of faith, hope, or determination can be just enough to tell ourselves to keep showing up. Sometimes hope can be the greatest of the 3 because it keeps a spark in us alive to move toward the mark of witnessing the breakthrough come to fruition.

Continuously showing takes tenacity. Continuously showing up takes endurance. Continuously showing up is actively choosing to put your faith over sight. The power in continuously showing up is that it breeds increments of progress and builds admirable character. You can be closer than you think. If you decide not to quit, all of  your effort will compound and yield greater dividends. Please try your hardest not to quit, instead take a hiatus, be still, and rest to recalibrate to come back more empowered to keep showing up. It is also important to know the difference between giving up and surrendering to God when you have exhausted all of your natural ability to make something happen. God can do it with His divine might but know that sometimes He wants to see our faith in action (James 2:17).

Joy Gem: Plan a resting period to give your mind, body, and spirit a break…because well you deserve it! At the end of your resting period write a list of declarations to declare what you want to see come to pass in your life followed by the saying “By faith, I will keep showing up!” Repeat them out loud to deepen your resolve to not give up and until you feel a profound internal shift in your belief.
