Release Your Limited Beliefs
I read a wise proverb recently that crossed my path at the right time - “The more you let go, the higher you rise.” It resonates with the essence of the idea behind this post that when we work to release our imposed limitations we create space to believe in the impossible and to rise to our next level. Take a moment and reflect on the life you cannot stop dreaming about. Think about all of the possibilities you see for yourself and allow yourself to experience the feeling of actualizing your ultimate dream. Did your limiting thoughts and beliefs cross your mind as you reflected? If so, those are the exact limited beliefs that you have to mindfully work on releasing. They will naturally cross your mind and hold you back because they have resided within you for a long time.
It also helps to expose yourself to greater things, so that you create the new belief that what you want exists and is available to you. If greater peace and joy is your ultimate dream then surround yourself with people or visit environments that embody a genuine essence of both. Start noticing your limited beliefs and write them down. Identify the root for each of your limited beliefs to start uprooting it from your heart. Once the root is identified, ask yourself why you have held onto the belief for so long and write a positive belief that opposes it. Example: a. The limited belief that you can only work a dead end job and will never achieve a fulfilling career b. The potential root of this belief is seeing your parents work tirelessly at jobs that did not satisfy their true purpose c. Replace it with the positive belief that you are worthy of having a fulfilling career, you hold the power to make better choices for yourself, and expose yourself to greater things by moonlighting with a professional who thrives in your career field of interest.
