Faith Virtue 6: Walk in Wholeness

Guiding Scripture:

Psalm 139:14 NIV | I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Coaching Integration:

Wholeness is the state of being complete, harmoniously whole, and lacking nothing. You were created as a whole person, fully equipped to fulfill your purpose. Society and culture are set up to convince you otherwise to chip away at your belief that you are already whole. The belief of wholeness does not negate that trials and tribulations can have a negative impact on our well-being. Some trials even leave us in a state of experiencing the opposite of wholeness, brokenness. With that in mind, walking and believing in your inherent wholeness is an active practice. Walking in wholeness establishes a strong internal foundation. The journey to wholeness is a continuous one and with integrating this virtue we aim to instill the core principles.

Application:

Identify one personal area you strive to practice more wholeness in such as your self-awareness, self-confidence, self-love, and so forth. List 2-3 ways this area has been negatively impacted, be specific in your examples. Then counter each item on your list with one step you can take to pour into yourself that promotes walking in wholeness.

Joy Gem: “I find I am constantly being encouraged to pluck out some one aspect of myself and present this as the meaningful whole, eclipsing or denying the other parts of self.” -Audre Lorde
