Faith Virtue 5: Be Spiritually Fruitful

Guiding Scripture:

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Coaching Integration:

Spiritual fruit is internal wealth that radiates through an external abundant life. To bear good and plentiful fruit, an internal transformation has to take place. Everything starts within you and once you make up your mind to shift your internal state then you will see the fruits of such worthy labor. A prerequisite to bearing the fruit of peace is that an unmovable peace is planted inside of you first. You will then recognize peace in each and every thing. The fruit of self-control leads to discipline and making sound decisions that are favorable to yourself plus the people you are connected with. Being spiritually fruitful inclusively amplifies and enriches your life. By fusing this virtue into coaching, we focus on increasing the fruits of the spirit to promote a fruitful life.

Application:

Identify 1 of the 9 fruits of the Spirit that you are having a hard time embodying in your current season. Be truthful with yourself about why you grapple with growing and being steadfast in this particular fruit. Keep in mind to hold yourself responsible for your thoughts, words, and actions. Lastly, craft 2-3 small steps you can take to grow the fruit internally.

Example: If you are having a hard time with embodying gentleness in this season. A possible action step is to choose to respond with grace and patience whenever you feel triggered by someone or something.
