Joyful Rewire: Experience Life
Recently, the notion of experiencing life versus trying to “control” life tapped me on the shoulder while watching a video. The guiding principle of this notion is to allow life to evolve in a way where you experience everything for what it is instead of spending precious time trying to control every aspect. Truths to consider - we are not in control as much as we think we are (God is), life is not a linear path (it will always include plot twists), and we should spend our time more wisely by focusing on what we can control (i.e., how we respond to plot twists and maintaining a healthy perspective). Note, it is still vital to have sustainable systems and structures in place that are beneficial to your well-being.
To make experiencing life more applicable, the following examples include a basic step that can be implemented. You may have a habit of trying to lessen the ambiguity surrounding a life circumstance or other aspects by overthinking possible outcomes - practice trusting yourself more to handle whatever may come up. You do not know what you do not know. Perhaps you are well-intentioned trying to help someone change for the better yet they are not receptive - practice experiencing the person for who they are and adjust the relationship to ensure you are not over exerting yourself at the expense of helping them.
Experiencing life is saying YES to more ease. Experiencing life is saying YES God I trust you and your plan. Experiencing life is saying YES to sincerely accepting what you cannot control nor change then choosing to shift your energy to something that fills your cup. Start living outside of the box you created for yourself and start experiencing life.
