Self-Discovery Journey
I recently experienced a major personal revelation that gave me deeper insights about a pattern that I have been experiencing for years now. The type of revelation that moved me to write down every insight that came to mind, intensely reflect on it, and determine a way forward to break the pattern. It was a big "aha moment" that left me feeling grateful to know the root of the pattern, more self-aware regarding how I can hold myself accountable in this area, and a profound sense of breakthrough on my self-discovery journey. The revelation was sparked by simply reading something thought provoking then saying yes to going within to dive deeper into what was coming up within me. This experience is evidence that self-discovery is an ever evolving journey that requires your participation to lean into the process and a willingness to grow by taking action.
In fact, life is a series of multiple journey’s happening at one time in the most dynamic ways. Your self-discovery journey is a constant of evolving, unlearning and relearning, healing, and growing in self-awareness. In order to truly know yourself, you have to explore who you are, why you think and behave the way you do, where your beliefs and values stem from, what kind of life you want to live, how to heal your inner-wounds, and be open to receiving deeper personal insights. It requires you to show up for yourself to do the self- reflection and development work to be/do better. Do not feel bogged down by the effort it takes to grow because there is joy in the self-discovery journey if you allow yourself to perceive it. Such as the joy of discovering something new that you love and appreciate about yourself or a new hidden talent that makes you feel invigorated. May your self-discovery journey be filled with wonderful insights and greater knowledge of self along the way.
