Confidence in the Plan
Confidence is synonymous with being internally poised in assurance, groundedness, and trust. Truth is, experiences throughout the journey will cause your confidence to waver when it is being tested. God extends grace by allowing us to get a glimpse into the plan, but divinely wise in not providing us with the full picture. If you were to envision the entirety of the journey, would you honestly be able to withstand the roadblocks, storms, and many times of uncertainty. Rather, you would potentially abandon or try to control the journey by knowing what lies ahead. This is why we have seasons of preparation to build within us strength, endurance, and resilience to continuously overcome. My challenge to you is to reconsider how confident you are in the plan for your life.
You must first have clarity surrounding the plan for your life, even if that means writing or rewriting your vision and promises. Notice how it feels to revisit it, what first comes to mind, and most importantly identify the parts that no longer align. As we evolve things we once wanted or felt strongly drawn to can change over time. Once you are clear, consider how confident you truly are in the plan and take consistent action to pour into your confidence. To illustrate, you knew early on that you were meant to create a non-profit that would have a positive impact on the community. You have the clarity on what you should be creating, yet lack of confidence in the plan is stopping you from taking aligned action. Your actions or lack thereof indicate your level of belief in yourself and the vision. It is important to feed your faith and to increase your confidence. The sincere intention is for you to become so confident in the plan you only speak, think, and pour life into it no matter the highs and lows.
