Build a Life You Love
Building a life you love requires continuous effort and mindfulness. Keep in mind that it is a purposeful and worthy effort that will produce your desired results. Simply put, effort compounds and is proven to be fruitful when you keep showing up for yourself. Start by crafting your personal definition of what it means to live a life you love and what it entails. This will help you maintain the proper focus while building a life you love as it will act as your North Star. You are also encouraged to limit or completely negate outside voices and distractions because they can get in the way of being grounded in knowing who you are and what you want. The following are four practical tips that can help you get started on building.
1: Nurture Yourself Into Becoming the Greatest You
Nurturing yourself while working on self-improvement includes making self-honoring decisions, taking small steps to reinvent yourself, practicing grace and self-care along the journey as it will not be linear. There is an ease in loving yourself and providing for your needs as you become the greatest you that you have always envisioned. Versus being self-critical, practicing self deprecating speech, and pushing yourself to attain “perfection.”
2: Pursue a Professional Endeavor That You Are Passionate About
It is important to review your life from a 360 perspective and identify what needs to shift or improve in each area. Especially in your professional life as this is where you spend most of your time and effort. Pursuing an endeavor that you are passionate about feeds your inner-fulfillment and sense of purpose. The professional aspect of a life you love could be a source that drains you or pours life back into you.
3: Maintain a Creative or Active Hobby as a Joyful Outlet
Given that life is full of continuous responsibilities that require us to give out our energy, impact our mental and emotional capacity, and repeatedly respond to challenges. We need creative and active hobbies that act as outlets to help us recharge, relax, and indulge in pure enjoyment. This nourishes a life you love by essentially acting as a way to refill your cup and find respite outside of what is required of you.
4: Cultivate Loving, Fulfilling, and Reciprocal Connections
Your connections have one of the greatest impacts on your quality of life. Embrace and cultivate connections that are full of life, light, and love. Creating a life you love typically includes having aligned connections and improving your ability to maintain them as you grow. Re-examine your relationships and gradually release the ones that are not aligned with the life you are building.
