Redeem Your Second Chance

We can probably all relate to the feeling that we missed out on an opportunity. That feeling typically  triggers the resolve to let it go because we have reasoned that it will never present itself again. One of the most beautiful aspects of life is that what is truly meant for you will show up again for you to grasp it. It will also arrive as a life test to determine if you have matured in perspective, matured in conviction to not let it slip your grasp a second time, and if you are willing to show up to properly handle the opportunity. As the saying goes, lightning does not or rarely strikes twice, so the ability to say a resounding yes when the second chance arrives is pivotal. However, you will still have to practice discernment to decipher whether the second chance is truly good and meant for you or if it is simply a lesson that is cycling back for you to finally transcend it.

The focus of this post is on the second chances that come around after believing we foolishly lost out on the chance before. It could range from a second chance with a career opportunity, relationship, a dream or desire coming to fruition, health, and what you regard as previously squandered. It is highly gracious of God to bring something back to us that is in His will and grant us the opportunity to show up differently this new time around. It is up to you to perceive and redeem the second chances in life because they rarely happen. Sometimes we completely miss out on something and it does not come back around due to a level of internal immaturity. Sometimes there is a process that needs to take place from the first encounter with something to its eventual return to your life to earnestly prepare you. May you have new eyes to recognize your second chance when it arrives. May your internal growth and maturity provide the wisdom to steward your second chance conscientiously.

Joy Gem: “It's different when you get a second chance to come back out and do your thing - you're more humble, you appreciate it more, you know what not to do this second time around.” - DB
