Faith Virtue 3: Pursue Purpose

Guiding Scripture:

Ephesians 2:10 NIV | For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Coaching Integration:

Before we were conceived we were deemed worthy and given a unique purpose to fulfill. To pursue purpose means to consciously decide that you will live out the plans designed for you. Purpose is not to be boxed into the idea that it is something that takes a huge discovery and is only a lifetime pursuit. There are seasons, moments, decades, and other times when pursuing purpose may shift or ask something different of you. For instance, you may be called to pursue the purpose of taking care of a parent for a season until they are well and whole again. In that season you are fulfilling the purpose of being the Caregiver that God called you to be. Your overarching life purpose is what remains throughout the ebbs and flows of your life. The integration of this virtue enables us to focus on discovering gratification within your life purpose or the many other purposes assigned to you.

Application:

If you are still in the discovery phase of pursuing purpose then seek God for answers as to what is your life purpose then get still to hear from Him. Write down what first comes to mind and also jot down your life patterns. Take some time to examine the information and watch the pieces come together.
