Practice Radical Acceptance

Radical acceptance is the ability to make complete peace with what is. The intention behind defining it in a simplistic way is to make it easy to mentally digest before actively applying it. To further clarify, radical acceptance is not a permission slip to wade in complacency, to perpetuate bad habits/relationships/cycles, nor to get comfortable in the way things are. Rather, it can be helpful during those times of trying to force or will something to happen that is out of your control. Upon having the realization that it is up to God and that it will happen if it is meant to at the appointed time, you radically accept your “not yet.” A few reasons why you should practice radical acceptance - it enables the restoration of your internal peace, you move into the mindframe of focusing on the gratitude of the present moment, and most importantly you are able to hone in on your joy. An aspect of our power is the ability to give energy and attention to something. What you focus your mind on and the actions that you take because of your thoughts, play a huge part in shaping the quality of your wellbeing. This is a gentle nudge to encourage you to practice radical acceptance to foster harmony within your mind, heart, and soul.
