Embrace The Pivot
When we arrive at a pivotal moment in life it can be prompted by personal volition or divine intervention. Throughout your journey there will be an array of pivots that will be necessary to move you toward fulfilling your destiny or to simply move you into your next season. Pivots can take the form of being called to a new career path, moving to a new city, outgrowing certain relationships, shifting your health regimen for preventive measures, and so forth. God is the chief intentional orchestrator of pivoting to align you with His will and to place you in the proper position to receive what He has promised you. There are times when He will pivot you abruptly to protect you, to answer your earnest prayers, and to get you back on the path He carved out for you. Truthfully, the abrupt pivot can catch you off guard and can make you feel as if you are being afflicted for some reason unknown to you. However, God is only good and He is love - trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Everything is about perspective. You can shift your perspective at any time to embrace the pivot instead of resisting it. Embrace the pivot by affirming that what is coming is better than what you had to release. Embrace the pivot by leaning into the new thing God is doing and forgetting the former things (Isaiah 43:18-19). Embrace the pivot by being vulnerable with the people you trust to share what is happening in your life and asking for help to work through it to divide the burden. Embrace the pivot by continuously choosing to take the next best step as you navigate the uncertainty. There is always the other side of every circumstance, but it is the middle that gets hard and will test your will to keep going. Keep in mind that it is a temporary point in the journey. The pivot is the preordained turning point to advance you from where you are to where you are destined to thrive. May this hearten you to trust and embrace the pivot.
