Do Not Allow Impatience to Win
Stay the course. Stay the course. Stay the course. There is power in repetition and for such a simple phrase, it is quite emboldening. Whatever your current course may be or whatever it is you are striving toward - reconcile in your heart and mind that you will endure. Alternatively, you can allow impatience to win and short circuit your victory. Impatience is the loudest in moments of feeling weary, during the inability to perceive that progress is happening, or when you are contemplating if it is worth the wait. In that moment when it seems as if impatience wants you to quit, consider if you will gain anything by giving up. Most things are easier to talk about than to put into practice, staying the course when the course gets rough or tiresome is one of them. Do not allow impatience to forfeit what has already been promised to come to fruition because of the work and patience that is required of you.
Frankly, nearly everything comes down to divine timing/an appointed season. The middle part (also known as the wilderness) is where the work has to be done to develop your character, for the sake of preparation, and to test you in a multitude of ways. Trust that it is all designed to build you up. Take a break. Pause and breathe. Recalibrate whenever necessary. By all means do not allow the process to break you. Opposition, doubts, and weariness are all truthfully par for the course. Remember, that while on the journey when you believe in your heart you have done all you can then to stand in faith (Ephesians 6:13). Do not allow impatience to win. Do not allow impatience to win. Do not allow impatience to win.
